Public Health in Michigan - 2007 |
|
Public
Health: For Michigan. For
You.
Public
health organizations work every day to ensure the safety of individuals and
communities throughout
Michigan.
From food and water safety to potential environmental hazards to preventive
care, there is no demographic or geographic group that is exempt from the
daily work of public health organizations. In conjunction with this state
wide effort,
monthly health campaign themes
will be promoted by local and
state public health organizations. LCDPH will highlight these on our
building display board and website throughout 2007.

Go to
Michigan.gov;
they are

Getting Energized -
Recent studies report that many children are not
physically active on a regular basis. Encourage your child to become involved in
sports activities available at school or in the community. At home, you can try
some of the activities suggested to help your child be more active, and to
reinforce the link between diet, exercise, and good health....more
Being healthy
includes regular physical activity, and who says it has to be "all work and no
play?"
Remember that regular activity is just as
important to your good health as eating right and avoiding stress.
