Livingston County Prescription Drug Discount Program

The Livingston County Prescription Drug Discount Program was initially created by the Livingston County Board of Commissioners to assist Livingston County senior citizens, and disabled residents, who have no  prescription drug coverage, to offset some of the costs for their prescription drugs. This group discount is made available through the Ingham Health Plan Corporation and applies to most medicines that the doctor prescribes, excluding over-the-counter drugs.

To qualify you must be a
Livingston County resident, who is either disabled or over the age 60 and have no other prescription coverage. There are no enrollment costs to applicants and the program provides an average of 20% to 30% discount off of prescription drug prices at participating pharmacies. The discounts vary depending on the prescription and not all prescriptions are covered.

Health Department staff will register applicants for the Livingston County Prescription Discount Card by either phone, FAX, walk in, or mail-in registration. They are then enrolled on-line via the Ingham Health Plan Corporation.

LCDPH mails the discount prescription card to the applicant in a packet that includes a variety of information and services in approximately 10-14 days.

For further information, call LCDPH at 517-546-9850, or download our pre-enrollment form to get started!
